RVRC Senior Programme

This information is relevant to current RVRC students in their second year of residency, RVRC Seniors in their third year of residency, as well as RVRC Alumni in their third year of candidature at NUS, who wish to apply for the RVRC Senior Programme for one or both semesters of their third or fourth year in AY2026/27.

Purpose of the Programme

The RVRC Senior Programme provides opportunities for students to make meaningful contributions to RVRC’s living-learning community. It leverages their previous residential experience and insights to enhance the overall College experience for all residents, while supporting the seniors’ own personal growth and development.

 

Seniors

The dragon boating segment of the RVRC Student Leader Training 2023 brought together house heads, interest group leaders, senior student leaders, and resident assistants, marking the start of their leadership journey and growth.

Types of Senior Programme Roles

There are three roles available in the RVRC Senior Programme (AY2026/27):

  • Peer Student Supporter (PSS)
  • Resident Assistant (RA)
  • Senior Student Leader (SSL)

Expectations of Seniors

RVRC Seniors are expected to fulfil the following:

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance to the College’s Year 1 and Year 2 students.
  • Role modelling: Lead by example and foster inclusivity, respect, collaboration, and cooperation.
  • Community development: Serve as advocates and motivators within the College community.
  • Event organisation: Plan and execute College events aligned with the SP role undertaken.
