Give Back, Lift Others: RVRC Alumni Support a Caring Community
Every contribution counts.
As RVRC establishes a college bursary, we celebrate the many meaningful gifts from our alumni that are making a real difference. These acts of generosity add up to create opportunities for students who need them most. Beyond the dollars, they reflect a deep commitment to access, equity, and community. RVRC thanks our alumni for demonstrating that impact isn’t measured by size alone, but by the hearts behind the giving.
Together, we’re building a bursary that embodies the spirit of RVRC: Lifting one another so every student can thrive.
"I had an amazing time at RVRC, and I hope other students get the chance to create unforgettable memories and lifelong bonds there too."
A Pethanakshi (NUS Class of 2020)
"RVRC has given me plenty of opportunities; from gaining unique experiences, to pioneering fun activities for residents. Giving back is to appreciate the time and effort that Prof. Adekunle Adeyeye and the RVRC staff gave to me."
Cyrus Lim (NUS Class of 2021)
"I chose to give because I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference even a small contribution can make. University life can be challenging and knowing that someone out there cares, can be a huge source of strength."
Yab Yi Tong (NUS Class of 2023)
"“Pay It Forward” means using what I’ve received to open a door for someone else. Whether it’s big or small, every bit helps a student focus on learning, rather than bills."
Yogarajan (NUS Class of 2024)
“I chose to give because I wanted to help give someone the opportunity to experience RVRC, and grow under the college’s strong community and its multitude of programs that supported my own growth while I was in university! To future recipients, I hope that RVRC will be as memorable for you as it was for me. The college really supports your development and I am super happy that you get to experience this too.”
Khin Hnin Su (NUS Class of 2024)
"I was fortunate enough to be a recipient when I was in university. Now that I have graduated, I want to support this cause and want to contribute towards making a difference for the recipients. I have a lot of faith that the support of this cause can exponentially enable individuals to learn and grow, despite their circumstances in life."
Yuen Jia Jun (NUS Class of 2024)
“RVRC has always been a special place to me as it played a big role in my personal and academic growth. During my time here, I knew of students who had to withdraw from residency because of financial difficulties. I want future students to have the same opportunities I had, to grow in such a nurturing environment, without being held back by financial worries. Now that I’ve graduated and am able to give back, I believe that even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference.”
Ko Shi Jie (NUS Class of 2025)
"I decided to donate because RVRC has played a significant role in my journey, influencing not just my academic journey and career but also my personal development and sense of community. I wanted to give back in a significant way since the college gave me experiences, connections, and chances that I treasure. My goal in supporting RVRC is to make sure that future students may experience the same supportive environment that I enjoyed."
Dominic Halim (Year 4, College of Design and Engineering, NUS Class of 2026)
