Industry Engagement and Workplace Readiness
At RVRC, we believe that our students should be introduced to the latest industry and workplace trends early in their university years and be offered opportunities to develop professional skills. The college curates a wide range of exploratory and engagement options for its students every year. Some of these are built into modules, other are ad-hoc events. This enables students to network and better understand and prepare for the demands of their future workplace.
Project Collaborations
Sustained interaction with external partners is embedded within the RVRC academic courses. Our students are empowered to initiate projects that require collaboration with relevant partners from industry, community, and government agencies. True to our motto The World is Our Classroom student are encouraged to take proposals created as part of academic courses beyond the classroom. As such student need to go beyond conceptualisation in order to plan, organise, and execute implementation. Co-academic learning activities also provide our students the opportunity to identify and collaborate with external partners to work on real-world problems.
Industry Dialogues
Dialogues with emerging and established professionals from diverse fields enable our students to directly engage entrepreneurs and professionals on thought-provoking topics and agendas. The informal small-group setting of these sessions allow RVRC students to delve deeper into issues of professional and personal development. The RVRC Industry Talks encompass a large range of topics and industries, including sustainable economy, innovative business ideas, heritage business, and many more.
Industry Visits
Visits to corporate offices, research institutes, and government agencies expose our students to workplace culture and growth direction in the industry. These visits include direct interaction with senior management and staff, to allow our students to network and learn about internship and career opportunities.
