Industry Engagement and Workplace Readiness
At RVRC, we believe that our students should be introduced to the latest industry and workplace trends early in their university years and be offered opportunities to develop professional skills. The college curates a wide range of exploratory and engagement options for its students every year. Several of these opportunities are seamlessly integrated within the coursework, while others are ad-hoc events. This range of opportunities enables students better understand and prepare for the demands of their future workplace.

Project Collaborations
Sustained interaction with experts and external partners is embedded within the RVRC academic courses. Students are empowered to initiate projects that require collaboration with relevant partners from industry, community, and government agencies. With the ‘World is Our Classroom’, students are encouraged to actualise their proposals created as part of academic coursework. As such, students go beyond conceptualization to plan, organize, and execute implementation. Co-academic learning activities also provide students the opportunity to identify and collaborate with external partners to work on real-world problems.

Industry Dialogues
Dialogues with emerging and established professionals from diverse fields enable our students to directly engage with entrepreneurs and professionals on thought-provoking topics and agendas. The informal small-group setting of these sessions allows RVRC students to delve deeper into issues of professional and personal development. The RVRC Industry Talks encompass a wide range of topics and industries, including the sustainable economy, innovative business ideas, heritage business, and many more.

Industry Visits
Visits to corporate offices, research institutes, and government agencies provide students with valuable exposure to workplace culture and industry growth directions. These visits are designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of how different organizations operate and innovate within their respective fields. During these visits, students have the opportunity to interact directly with senior management and staff, gaining insights into the strategic goals and daily operations of the organizations. This direct interaction allows students to ask questions, seek advice, and learn about the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in various roles.
Personal Advancement, Vocational Engagement (PAVE)
A new initiative launched in 2024, PAVE emphasizes the need for students to be well-prepared for their future careers by providing them with experiences that help them navigate evolving industry demands and confidently transition into the professional world. This program offers a variety of opportunities for students to develop essential skills, gain practical knowledge, and build a professional network. Through PAVE, students engage in activities such as workshops and networking events, which are designed to enhance their understanding of different career paths and industry expectations. These experiences not only equip students with the technical skills required in their chosen fields but also foster critical soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. By participating in PAVE, students are better positioned to make informed career decisions, adapt to changes in the job market, and pursue their professional goals with confidence.
PAVE@Workshop provides students with interactive sessions led by professionals from diverse industries. These workshops are designed to impart essential career skills, including leadership, communication, adaptability, and industry-specific knowledge. Through hands-on activities and expert-led discussions, students acquire practical skill sets necessary to navigate the evolving job market.
PAVE@Network offers students the opportunity to engage with industry professionals through informal discussions and networking events. These sessions, conducted at the college or as visits to offices, enable students to ask questions, seek mentorship, and explore career pathways in various fields. The small-group format ensures meaningful interactions and valuable connections. PAVE@Network encompasses a wide range of industries, including the sustainable economy, innovative business ideas, engineering, and many more. These interactions also open doors to potential internship opportunities, allowing students to gain hands-on experience and further develop their professional skills.
