RVRC DIV to Comcrop

RVRC organised an industry visit for to Comcrop vertical farm at 2 Orchard Link on 6 February 2018 as part of its DIV series for Year One students. The objective was to understand Comcrop's unique sustainability vision while getting the opportunity to understand the operations of an Aquaponics farm. The visit also included a detailed insight into how Comcrop incorporates Corporate Social Responsibility meaningfully in its operations, presented by Allan Tan, Founder and Director. Allan shared stories of how Comcrop has evolved from being a small Kampung-style community farming plot into a high-tech urban rooftop farm. Darren Tan, Sales and Outreach Manager at Comcrop, shared technical aspects and operational challenges, for an engaging and fun visit. The visit ended with students sampling several varieties of freshly grown herbs at the farm.
