105 RVRC Student Leaders participated in a customized training programme at the college. The primary objective of the training designed and led by Mr. Desmond Ng and A/P Peace Wong Yuh Ju, conducted across two days on 10th and 11th August, was to cultivate self-awareness among the student leaders, to enhance their ability to collaborate effectively with their peers and to lead them in college endeavors.
The two-day training offered student leaders a multimodal experience to encompass intellectual, creative, emotional, social, and physical growth dimensions. LEGO was used as a creative tool for one of the sessions to enable the student leaders to reflect on aspects of self-appreciation and empathy. In another activity, students were guided by the Tree of Life narrative to tell stories of hope and shared values, fostering a sense of community. This collective team spirit was fortified through a dragon boat training and race session at the Kallang Basin.
At the end of the two-day training, the student leaders walked away with a strong sense of empowerment for their upcoming roles at the college; equipped to exercise control over their personal growth and leadership journey.
