Over three purposeful days, Ridge View Residential College (RVRC) welcomed the incoming cohort through Ventera, the 2025 Freshmen Orientation Programme designed to support a smooth transition into the college. The programme combined team-based challenges, community-building activities, and reflective segments to help new students forge friendships, become acquainted with RVRC’s culture, and feel prepared for the semester ahead. Carefully curated station games and collaborative tasks encouraged communication, problem-solving, and peer support, while orientation touchpoints introduced key student services and opportunities for involvement in residential life.
Ventera was made possible by the dedication of many. We extend our sincere appreciation to the student organisers and facilitators who led with care and professionalism from planning through on-the-ground mentoring, to partners and volunteers who supported delivery, safety, and welfare, and to all participants for their enthusiasm and cooperation. Your collective efforts brought Ventera to life and reflected the collaborative, resilient, and community-minded spirit of RVRC.
As the academic term begins, we encourage all students to carry this momentum forward by staying engaged with house activities and college initiatives, checking in with peers, and contributing to a supportive living–learning environment. Students who are new to RVRC are invited to explore interest groups and leadership opportunities, and to seek guidance from student leaders or staff mentors whenever needed. For updates on events and sign-ups, please refer to the RVRC website and official student communications. We look forward to building on the momentum of Ventera throughout the academic year!
