At RVRC, we believe that Interest Groups (IGs) are the perfect platform for students to try out new things and to further their interests in any activity. RVRC is home to a multitude of IGs that encompass a diverse range of interests such as Sports, Arts, Lifestyle, and Community Service. We encourage our students to join IGs to pursue their passion, explore new interests, and connect with like-minded members in the college community. Remember, this is never about being good at anything, but to be curious or passionate about activities. Even as a total novice or beginner you are always more than welcome to join our IGs and to become active members or get deeper involved as EXCO members.

ARTELIER
If you love art, Artelier is the place for you! In Artelier, we believe in making art accessible for everyone, regardless of your aesthetic 😉 So even if you’re the next Damien Hirst or simply curious about the elusive art world, there’s something for you here in Artelier! In addition to the occasional workshop, we conduct weekly sessions ( instructional and art jams ) suitable for any skill level. Our sessions are mainly media driven — we alternate between wet media and dry media weekly! So do join us at the dining hall on Thursday nights, 8.30-10.30pm if you’re interested. BADMINTON
Badminton is a racquet sport that trains one’s reflexes, agility and spatial awareness.
RVRC Badminton comprises both recreational players and competitive players (with the aim of competing for the annual Inter-College-Games) so you’ll always be able to find someone to play with and destress on weekday nights!

CHESS
The RVRC chess society is an interest group which connects like-minded chess-loving individuals. While we focus primarily on Chinese and International chess for the inter-college games, we are keen to expand to other forms of chess. Every semester, exchange students often join us to learn about different types of chess. There’s something to learn for everyone!
CONTRACT BRIDGE
We are a group of contract bridge enthusiasts (as the name might suggest) meeting once a week (or as often as you want) to just play bridge together and have fun! While our official title is the ‘Contract Bridge IG’ we do play ‘normal’ bridge as well for those of you who are only interested in that (: On top of that, you will have the opportunity to represent the College in the annual Inter-College Games every February. No experience is required so if you are free or just feel like chilling or picking up a new card game then come down to one of our sessions!! See you there (:
DANCE REVO
Dance Revo was set up by a group of passionate dancers who aspire to venture into various genres, including hip hop, urban LA, contemporary and B-boy. We invite instructors from all over Singapore to teach open classes, so that students get to immerse themselves into different genres and find out their unique dance style. We value community rather than skills, with the goal of encouraging our RVRC residents to pick up dance as a form of exercise and an avenue to relieve stress. Each year, Dance Revo will collaborate with Jukebox to hold a performing arts concert in Sem 2!

DODGEBALL
Dodge|Catch|Throw
Dodgeball is a team-based, non-contact sport. Although the game may seem simple, Dodgeball is an intense and fast-paced sport which involves coordination and strategy within the team.
Dodgeball is an easy sport to pick up with easy rules and straightforward gameplay – great for burning off those suppers and even better for making new friends.
As an IG, we’re dedicated to introducing more people to this growing sport.
Dodgeball isn’t just a sport, but rather, a place to find your second family.

Hello! Welcome to RVRC Floorball, where both newcomers and experienced players are welcomed! GREEN RANGERS
Are you a fan of the natural world? Then Green Rangers is for you. Green Rangers connects you to nature through environmental stewardship. We see ourselves as the guardians of wildlife and green spaces in an urbanised world and are connecting students to nature. We also engage in gardening projects, especially to create habitats for wildlife, such as birds and butterflies. Joining Green Rangers brings physical and emotional well-being through immersion in nature. Join us to engage in environmental activities, such as the RVRC Citizen Science Programme or creating and maintaining our butterfly garden. We also organise workshops and excursions to learn more about wildlife, nature, cultivating plants, or how to create habitats for wildlife.

JUKEBOX
RVRC Jukebox is the Interest Group for students with a passion for music. Here in Jukebox, we are souls in tune with each other and band together to play songs of an eclectic range. For most, jams are for breakfast; but for us, they are our late night snacks (only metaphorically because no eating in the music room). NETBALL
RVRC Netball is the interest group for students with a passion for netball. We view RV Netball as a platform for experienced netball players to hone their skills and for non-experienced players to learn the basics of the game.
Netball is often viewed as a females’ sport but don’t be shocked to see like-minded male players on court too! Apart from playing recreationally, we also play competitively through the annual Inter College Games!

RIDGECUE
RidgeCue is an interest group dedicated to anyone with an interest in cue sports, specifically 8 ball pool. We welcome anyone from a wide range of skill level from total newbie to professional. We have professional cue sports players from NUS Cue Sports that will be teaching the proper techniques and skill sets. It is an IG filled with like minded residents that bond over chill sessions of pool.
Some of our players are from NUS Cue Sports, and one of them is the captain of the competitive team! Furthermore we just acquired a new set of equipment that’s solely reserved for IG sessions, so no more broken sticks! Join us for a game every Tuesday, 9pm – 11pm at the YIH NUSSU Lounge Table. RV CAFE
RV cafe is dedicated to food. Our interest group aims to provide a comfortable environment for our members to share recipes, skills, and most importantly, food, with one another. Over the past years, we have held small-scale cooking/baking classes for those who are interested (our own members as well as the larger college). On a larger, college-wide scale, we have either organized or supported events that are related to food, such as the cultural cooking classes during Cultural appreciation week or the a goodie bag delivery service as part of our “Good Neighbours” project.

RV CLIMATE CAFE
RV Climate Cafe (RVCC) aims to foster environmental awareness while forming a support system for the eco-anxious. RVCC provides community-based engagements for you to hold insightful conversations with invited speakers and other students around sustainability issues. Through this network, you will dive deeper into learning about active sustainability innovations, explore sustainability-related careers, and find ways to channel your eco-anxiety into meaningful collective action!
RV COFFEE CLUB
While baristaing seems like an intense and tedious task, RV Coffee Club is a cosy place for friends to gather and get their weekly caffeine fix at heart. Additionally, we have tea options and hold events like Tea Nights so everyone can join! We are mainly passionate about creating a relaxing space for students to bond and destress, accompanied by delicious cups of coffee. :))
RV DOTA
RVRC Dota IG is a recreational IG that mainly plays together during the holidays! We understand how demanding Dota can get and so we’ve decided against having any trainings or plays during the school term! Nevertheless we’re still a group of enthusiastic players who strive towards bringing back champions for each ICG! In the previous ICG, RVRC Dota 2 IG came out on top with a clean sweep of 8-0!

RV EXPLORERS
RVRC Explorers is an IG unique to RVRC. We love walking, trekking, and exploring. We organise trips in the Southern Ridges, Nature Parks, the Southern Islands, and wilderness in the region. We also organise and execute the annual RVRC Walk for Rice, where your every step helps people in need. Whether you are a first-time nature walker or an experienced trekker, this is an IG for anyone!

RV FIFA
As the name suggests, RV FIFA IG is a place for fans of the 30-year running video game to hone our skills and do (friendly) battle! Having secured 2nd place during last year’s Inter-College Games, we’re hoping to go one better this year. We meet on Monday nights at Lounge A, so do join us to test out your skills or just to make some awesome friends! People of all competencies are welcome- whether you’re an international player or have never heard of the game, come on down.
RV FoRestore
RV FoRestore is a close-knit community that cares for the forests and aims to raise awareness, interest and appreciation on Singapore’s forests through hands-on involvement. Under the guide of Dr Chua Siew Chin, RV FoRestore is involved in reforestation efforts and habitat enhancement activities at Chestnut Nature Park. Our events include seed collection, seedling salvage, tree planting (on NUS Day of Service), SPA Day!, tree tagging/plot monitoring, Wildlife Appreciation Workshop (WAW!) and the annual Forest Restoration Workshop.
RV FoRestore has a mini nursery in RVRC, where we keep some seedlings of pioneer tree species. We are also interested in the various wildlife we encounter in RVRC and NUS.

RV OVERWATCH
RV Overwatch is a small group of people who enjoy the first-person shooter Overwatch, released by Activision-Blizzard in 2016. We meet up virtually to play on the weekends to hone our skills and develop our teamwork, in preparation for each year’s Inter-College Games (Esports). We are constantly on the hunt for talented players who can bring their best to the team, so that we can take the fight to the other RCs. Winning or losing does not matter to us, what matters is we have fun. So, if you’re looking for a fun and chill IG, what are you waiting for? The world could always use more heroes!

If you love capturing and preserving memories, photography IG is a community for you! We believe that the best camera is the one that’s with you. Whether you’re an expert or completely new to photography, we have activities for everyone! Just like photowalks around Singapore, we plan various activities for photographers to unite and explore fresh perspectives. So do join us to meet like-minded people and fall in love with photography!

The Ridge View Recreational Games Society (RVRGS) is an interest group where anyone can join to chill out and play board games each week. We also bring residents together by hosting events such as exciting escape rooms and college-wide games. Too stressed out studying? Come on down and cool down with us!
SOCCER (F)

SWIMMING
RV Swim IG welcomes both novice and experienced swimmers! We conduct various activities, such as swimming laps, strength training with the help of floats, and learning about the rules of competitive Swimming! Often members who can swim receive help to enhance their strokes and learn new things about the sport! After training, we will often gather for dinner at DH and share about funny stuff! We are a relatively new IG, but even so, we have a wide variety of people who are welcoming and friendly! Join our telegram group here to learn how to jump into swimmer pool with style. We have our training every Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7pm.
SQUASH
Hey! Looking for a fun way to exercise? Why not consider Squash! If you are new to the sport, fret not, we will be here to guide you as long as you are willing to try 🙂 If you have experience, you are more than welcome to rally with our exisitng players so we can all improve together!

TABLE TENNIS
Table tennis IG serves to bring together people who are interested in the sport. Through peer tutoring and constant practise, students who are interested to play table tennis can pick up the skill and techniques from other more experienced players. It is also a platform to keep fit and bond together.
TCHOUKBALL
Tchoukball is a relatively new, non-contact team sport that can be played by people of all sizes and sporting backgrounds. RV Tchoukball is an inclusive and chill community, we welcome everyone regardless of their proficiency. If you want to learn a new sport; improve your strength and reflexes; or just to make friends and have fun, then RV tchoukball is for you!! Our trainings are usually held every Thursday from 9-11PM at MPSH6. See you there!
TENNIS
Want to be a champion? Come join RV Tennis! We train on weekday evenings at the Kent Ridge Tennis Courts. Talk with your racket, play with your heart.

TOUCH RUGBY
Contrary to popular believe, it is not violent at all — it’s literally a game based on ‘touches’. We’re all new to the sport so don’t be afraid to join us and pick up a new interesting sport that is different from everything else! Also, we’re a mix team so girls and guys play together 🙂 There may be an initial steep learning curve but don’t be afraid as we will take time to ensure everyone is caught up and not left behind, just ask anyone on the team 🙂 Join us at the field every Thursday, 9 – 11 pm!
ULTIMATE FRISBEE
Inclusive and harmonious, Ridge View Ultimate is very welcoming to all RVRC residents with the passion for Ultimate Frisbee, regardless of the individual’s proficiency for the sport. While we aim to sharpen our skills towards the goal of Inter-College Games, while striving to have fun at the same time.
Fun fact, we still have seniors from the pioneer batch that come back from time to time to join our sessions! Our RVU family goes for small competitions together regularly, so do come down to join this awesome family!
