Industry Dialogue with Ian Yeo, DZ Bank AG

Ian Yeo from DZ Bank AG was invited to speak with RVRC students on 16th April 2018. Ian is responsible for Structured Finance with financial institutions and sovereigns from the South East Asia region as his primary clients. He began his dialogue with sharing about his diverse banking experiences, ranging from his early working days at the MAS, followed by his work at MAYBANK and how the vastly different workplace setups in the private and public sectors shaped his professional journey.

While talking about his banking experiences with international clients, Ian shared his enthusiasm of learning languages and being a rule breaker. Ian also shared about his own academic journey at NUS and highlighted his belief that university offers students many opportunities other than academic development. His talk was peppered throughout with anecdotes and informal sharing, that prompted a wide array of questions from the student attendees.
