On 24th January 2019, RVRC hosted Mr Neo to share about the work SIAEC does, explaining both its engineering and business operations. Students learnt how SIAEC’s Engineering operations revolve around the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of the aircraft, cabin and engines. They also gained insight into SIAEC’s Business operations that involves several joint ventures with major global players in the aerospace industry and how these partnerships further augment SIAEC’s MRO capabilities.
The session ended with Mr. Neo sharing personal insights gained over his four decade long career in the aerospace industry. He explained how important it is to build a strong fundamental understanding of the company’s technical operations. During the Q&A segment, he pointed out several interesting aspects of the aerospace industry and shared some defining moments from his time as an aerospace engineer.
