A group of RVRC students embarked on an industry visit to Jewel Changi Airport on 31st October. The visit comprised of a guided tour by Jewel Changi ambassadors to various sights and attractions such as the rain vortex, canopy park and the Changi experience studio.
The tour enlightened students on how Jewel Changi was conceptualised as an integration of a traditional mall with an urban park. It does so by combining retail, nature and recreation into a seamless experience for all travellers and visitors.
The trip through the canopy park highlighted the huge diversity of plants scattered throughout the infrastructure and gives a prime example of how we can blend nature with urban spaces. The tour concluded at the Changi experience studio, where AR technology is utilised to help provide an interactive learning experience about the history and development of Changi Airport.
