The inaugural RVRC Study Trips for Engagement and Enrichment (STEER) program is dedicated to exploring the island of Taiwan, a dynamic East Asian locale renowned for its rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and unwavering commitment to sustainability.

18 RVRC students embarked on their 12-day learning journey in December 2023, which included visits to Geothermal and Solar Power Plants in Taiwan, providing invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities surrounding renewable energy sources. Exploring local farmers' markets gave them a first-hand understanding of diverse agricultural practices, while engaging with indigenous tribes away from the cities provided a deep dive into their unique cultures.
