Held on 15th January, the Welcome Back Carnival 2025 was an annual celebratory event aimed at welcoming residents back to RVRC after the semester holidays. This year's carnival, organized by the 9th CSC, was held in conjunction with the RVRC Sustainability Week, making it a unique and multifaceted celebration.
The event provided a platform for residents to re-engage with each other and reconnect with old friends. It featured a variety of activities and entertainment options, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. The collaboration with Sustainability Week aimed to raise awareness about sustainability initiatives and encourage the adoption of sustainable living practices. Residents enjoyed the carnival atmosphere with friends, participating in games, enjoying performances, and indulging in delicious food, all of which enhanced their sense of belonging at RVRC.
The theme of the carnival was "Enchanted Forest," offering a magical and immersive experience aligned with Sustainability Week. The event space was transformed into a vibrant carnival atmosphere with whimsical decor, including fairy lights, lush greenery, and enchanting props, perfect for interactive games and photos. The enchanted forest theme also emphasized the beauty of nature, reminding participants of the need for environmental protection. This was achieved through the use of eco-friendly materials for the interactive workshops, reinforcing the message of sustainability throughout the event.
