First introduced by the 8th CSC in 2024, the Welcome Back Carnival has quickly become a highlight of the RVRC calendar by creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and plenty of memorable moments for residents.
A big shout-out to the 10th CSC for continuing this tradition and putting together such a lively evening. Here’s to a great start and an exciting semester ahead!
Each January, the CSC brings residents together for the annual RVRC Welcome Back Carnival. This energetic way to kick off the new semester and reconnect with the RVRC community continues to be a memorable tradition at the college.
This year’s carnival was packed with crowd-favourite game stations, including the ever-popular Gladiator Dome, which drew enthusiastic participants throughout the evening. Archery too continued to be a crowd puller. Food stations were a big hit, with long queues forming as residents picked up well-loved snacks and treats. Beyond the games and food, student Interest Groups (IGs) set up booths and ran interactive activities, giving residents a fun, low-pressure way to meet new people, learn what different IGs do, and find communities to join for the semester.
