The seven houses of RVRC came together in a spectacular showcase of athleticism and college spirit as the Inter-House Games (IHG) 2026 drew to a close on 9 September, with Orcaella House crowned the overall IHG Champion.
From the opening whistle to the final event, the competition was fiercely contested. Participants pushed their limits across a diverse range of sports, while their housemates packed the sidelines with chants, banners, and infectious energy that turned every match into a celebration. Whether on the court, or across the field, the spirit of competition was matched equally by a spirit of camaraderie as a hallmark of the RVRC community.
The road to the championship was anything but straightforward. Orcaella's depth of talent proved decisive when it mattered most. Their consistency across multiple disciplines set them apart, and their unity as a house embodied everything the IHG stands for.
The remaining six houses deserve equal recognition for their tenacity and passion. Every event produced standout moments: nail-biting finishes, outstanding individual performances, and displays of sportsmanship that reflected the very best of RVRC's values. The bonds forged on the field across houses and between rivals are ones that will endure long beyond the final scoreboard.
The college extends its heartfelt congratulations to Orcaella House on their well-earned title, and its deepest appreciation to all participants for making IHG 2026 memorable. A special word of thanks goes to the RVRC 11th College Students' Committee (CSC), student leaders, and the many volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring the event to life.
