Application Process
Admissions to the RVRC Programme
The RVRC Programme is a two-year residency that incoming freshmen at NUS are eligible to apply for. Candidates are required to submit a short essay that highlights their specific interest in reading the RVRC Programme and how their individual motivation aligns with the college’s mission. Additionally, candidates should express their willingness to participate in all components of the RVRC Programme and their interest in extra-curricular activities offered by RVRC.
If you are an incoming freshman at NUS, you may apply for the RVRC Programme concurrently with, or after your NUS application. However, admission into the RVRC Programme is subject to the acceptance of an offer to pursue an undergraduate degree programme in NUS.
If you are interested in learning more about the RVRC Programme and Student life, we encourage you to explore our website and take the first step towards an enriching and transformative experience.
For Admissions in AY2026/2027
The application window for AY2026/27 Residential College Programmes (UTCP & RVRCP) will open from 9 March 2026 (SGT 09:00 AM) to 6 April 2026 (SGT 12:00 PM). We invite all interested candidates to submit their applications during this period by applying via the Joint Residential College Application System.
If you are shortlisted, you will be required to submit a short essay and attend an interview at the college from April to June 2026. This interview session will help us to know you better and allow you to find out more about the college. We welcome individuals from different cultural backgrounds, varied interests, and talents to join us.
Key Information to Consider:
- This is the only application window for the academic year, so we strongly encourage you to apply even if you have not yet received an offer to join an undergraduate degree programme in NUS. However, admission to the RVRC Programme is contingent upon your acceptance of an offer to pursue an undergraduate degree programme in NUS.
- The programme is not open to current NUS undergraduates.
- All students admitted to the College are required to subscribe to the meal plan as part of residential life.
- If you are successfully admitted to the College, you will be informed by the College to complete a room registration via the Office of Student Affairs’ University Hostel Management System (UHMS) portal. You may refer to Hostel Admission Services’ website for more information.
