Financial Aid Overview

The following College and University Level Financial Aid Schemes are available to help defray the cost of staying and studying for all incoming RVRC students. We strongly encourage all our students to apply for the College Level financial aid in addition to the existing NUS schemes if they require assistance.

College Level Financial Aid Schemes

Residential College Scholarships

Application Period for RC scholarship: 24 March 2025 (0900hrs) - 30 April 2025 (2359hrs).

This RC scholarship is open for all freshmen and current students. We encourage students to apply for University Level Financial Aid Schemes first before submitting their application for the RC scholarship.

Given that there will be a single application window, we urge all current RVRC students (including those who are already holders of the Residential College Scholarship) and prospective students whose admission applications to the College are still under review to submit their applications through the Joint Residential College Scholarship System portal within the designated timeline.

To be considered for the RC Scholarship, applicants generally need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate at NUS and a resident of RVRC.
  • Demonstrate exemplary academic achievements along with active contributions to co-curricular activities (CCA).
  • Have no disciplinary records.

We invite interested applicants to submit their application via the portal. Shortlisted candidates will receive notifications via email starting in late July, and we encourage you to check your email regularly to stay updated. For further information about RC scholarships, please feel free to refer to https://osa.nus.edu.sg/accommodation/hostel-options/.

University Level Financial Aid Schemes

NUS offers a range of Financial Aid Schemes to support full-time undergraduate students in need of financial assistance. If you require financial support, we encourage you to submit your application through the Office of Financial Aid here.

RVRC students who are Singapore citizens may also apply for the Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) Scheme to cover essential college expenses, including accommodation and meal plans. For more details, please visit OFA PSEA webpage.

Important Points to Note

  • Full-time undergraduate students should submit their NUS financial aid applications as soon as they apply for NUS, using the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) portal.
  • Upon receipt of the financial aid application, applicants will be automatically considered for all other NUS bursaries, where eligible.
  • Students who are offered a bursary or scholarship from both the OFA/Faculty and RVRC, will be informed if the awards can be held concurrently. If not, the award with the lower quantum will be withdrawn automatically.
  • If you missed the application deadline for bursary but still require financial assistance, please login to the NUS Undergraduate Financial Aid Portal, state the reason(s) for your late application and proceed to apply accordingly.
  • For general enquiries on university level financial aid, please call 6516 2870 or submit a query to the Office of Admissions to navigate your financial aid options.
