What better way to kick off a new academic year than by turning generosity into hope, one donation at a time? That's exactly what RVRC volunteers did, taking to the streets of Maxwell and Chinatown as part of the NUS Students' Union RAG & Flag 2026. It is one of NUS' most beloved and long-standing traditions. Armed with collection tins and plenty of heart, our RV Flaggers comprising students and staff raised donations in support of Community Chest and its network of Social Service Agencies, channelling the spirit of giving right from the very start of the semester.

RAG & Flag has always been about more than just fundraising. It is a reflection of our shared values, our spirit of giving, and our collective commitment to supporting those in need and fostering a community that truly cares.

RVRC is proud to carry that torch year after year, bringing students together around a shared purpose that extends well beyond the walls of our college. There's something truly special about seeing our residents show up, not just for each other, but for people across Singapore who need it most.

And the hard work paid off! We're absolutely thrilled to share that RVRC received the Flag Bronze Award this year, which is a testament to the dedication and generosity of every single one of our flaggers.
