Wan Qing is the Co-Founder and CEO of Hatch, a social venture crafting supportive, inclusive, end-to-end employment infrastructure that puts people first. Hatch began at Ridge View, where Wan Qing met the teammates who built it with her in those first days. Today it has two arms. Hatch Academy shapes and connects human potential with opportunity, so individuals, communities and businesses can flourish. Hatch Media is a young creative agency that shapes digital narratives, so organisations can show the world who they are, what they stand for, and why it matters.

Hatch's work is anchored in a core belief about livelihoods: that everyone deserves the chance to earn a good living, and that getting there takes more than a job offer. It starts with an essential question, what does it really take for someone to be prepared for the life they want? Hatch's next chapter, Hatch to Hire, puts that belief into practice. It pairs associates with talent-first companies, employers who hire on potential and commit to growing people once they're in the door. Training focuses less on narrow job skills and more on coaching and the everyday workplace capabilities that let people thrive across roles, because a good placement is only the beginning.

Wan Qing also serves as Board Chair of Kita, a youth development non-profit that uses person-centric, participatory practices to return agency to youths and their communities. Hatch and Kita share the same root, a belief in doing right by the communities they serve. Journeying closely with Hatch's learners raised a bigger question: what if development began with who people are, not just what they can do? Kita is the answer. Today, Kita helps young people discover who they are, and Hatch helps them build livelihoods around it. For Wan Qing, sustainability means building systems that outlast any one person: where talent is recognised, employers grow alongside their people, and every hire makes the next one easier.
