Senior Student Leaders (SSL)
As a Senior Student Leader, you will shoulder several leadership roles and duties, such as planning and spearheading key College events and initiatives that contribute to the College's growth and benefit the wider community. Your ability to exercise organisational and communication skills is imperative to efficiently coordinate and promote these activities.
What are some of the College Events and Initiatives that SSL have organised?
The SSLs have done an incredible job of organising key college events such as the Welcome Dinner, Open House, Kayak & Clean, Walk for Rice, and more. In addition to leading these events, the SSLs have also launched new initiatives such as the Exchange Programme Sharing Session and regular Academic Mentoring, which have benefited the student RVRC community.
How can I become a Senior Student Leader?
To become an SSL, you will need to be:
- An NUS undergraduate student who has already completed the RVRC Programme or who is in the final semester of completing the RVRC Programme
- In good university standing (academic, disciplinary, etc.)
- Capable and inspired to help peers and juniors
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
The SSLs organised an informal information session to share their experiences from participating in the NUS Student Exchange Programme (SEP). Such sessions help to guide aspiring peers and juniors in undertaking similar opportunities at the university.
