RVRC Jukebox - NUS sustainAble Showcase

NUS Jukebox - NUS sustainAble Showcase

Jukebox, the music interest group of Ridge View Residential College (RVRC) performed a jazzy rendition of ‘Home’ and ‘Save My World’ for the opening of the sustainABLE NUS Showcase on 29 Aug 2017 at UTown Plaza. They creatively rewrote the lyrics to suit the theme of sustainability, inspired by their personal interpretation of the concept and their experience in RVRC. The performers were Stuart, Natasha, Jonah and Zheng Kang, all Master List students at RVRC.

RVRC’s music performance was followed by a welcome address from NUS President Prof Tan Chorh Chuan and opening remarks by the Guest-of- Honour, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR), Mr Masagos Zulkifli. RVRC student S. Lawanya was selected to be part of the welcome team to receive and interact with Minister Masagos at the event.

Held at University Town from 29 to 30 August 2017, the sustainABLE NUS Showcase was NUS’ inaugural event to highlight actions that the University is taking to transform NUS into a greener campus, as well as the University’s efforts in research and education to meet sustainability challenges of today and the future. Organised by the Office of Environmental Sustainability, the Showcase aimed to inspire, educate and allow the NUS community to explore current and real-life sustainability possibilities.
