RVRC Symposium: The World is Our Classroom
The symposium theme explores how the RVRC Programme presents the world as a classroom for our students, with a focus on authentic out-of-classroom and experiential learning. The annual event showcases how RVRC students cultivate the aspiration to be effective learners by acquiring diverse capabilities, participating in meaningful growth opportunities, and become willing to experiment with new ideas.
The symposium provides an opportunity for RVRC staff and students to come together as an academic community to see and hear the interesting, thoughtful, and original work completed by students and celebrate the best of the RVRC Programme to learn from each other. The symposium also provides a learner-centric platform for students to reflect on how this learning could extend meaningfully beyond their RVRC residency into their future careers.
TLRC – Teaching and Learning in Residential Colleges Colloquium
Since its first instalment in 2019, the Teaching and Learning in Residential Colleges Colloquium seeks to provide a collaborative platform through which educators and students of Residential Colleges (RCs) at NUS are able to:
- share their teaching, living, and learning experiences in RCs.
- engage in scholarly conversations centred on teaching and learning practices in RCs.
- discuss their engagement in living and learning programmes offered by RCs.
Each year the TLRC is hosted by a different RC and focuses on different themes relevant to various aspects of residential college education. Past TLRC presenters have responded to the following colloquium themes:

2019: Multidisciplinary Education in Action
