208 Year 1 students and 14 staff from RVRC volunteered their Sunday on 20 Jan 2019 to help 20 units of underprivileged and elderly households from Tampines Changkat and Tampines North with spring cleaning. This was done in collaboration with Young NTUC. Activities included painting, sweeping, mopping, decluttering and rearranging furniture for the residents. Students also had the opportunity to interact socially with the residents, to hear firsthand about their challenges and hardships.

The activity showcases RVRC commitment to enhance student understanding of real-world challenges faced by Singaporean's from underprivileged backgrounds. Throughout, students were constantly challenged to reflect on the meaning of community service.
