Hatch GovTech Visit (website)

Hatch is a social enterprise which brings motivated and suitably-skilled youth to high-potential companies. Through the use of knowledge, network, and technology, the startup provides business solutions to harness the potential of every youth.

Currently, Hatch runs an immersive training and job-matching program targeted at youth from non-traditional pathways. Youth undergo training in one of the two tracks in Digital Marketing and UIUX before starting on their internships in Hatch’s partner companies. Till date, the program has successfully trained and matched many deserving youth to kickstart their careers.

Having validated its immersive program, Hatch is expanding its services to youth in secondary school who are uncertain about themselves and the pathways available for them. Its curriculum combines exposure, self-belief, and skills to empower school-going youth to visualize and take charge of their future - whichever pathway they chose.

The startup has received several media coverage lately in The Straits Times, Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute, The Business Times, and Youth.SG. Further information about Hatch can be found on its website.

Hatch’s founding team comprises Victor, Kenneth, and Wan Qing, who met during their freshman year in RVRC. They resonated with the belief that anyone with a dream deserves a future and wanted to address the employment challenges faced by those from non-traditional pathways.  Inspired by the college’s teaching to be comprehensive in tackling a problem, the team set their aims on developing sustainable business models to effectively address the social issue.
