D&D

Dinner & Dance (D&D) is a yearly event that celebrates the achievements of our residents and brings together all the RVRC year 2 residents for a final farewell. This year's D&D marked a new era, as it was not only held outside of RVRC, but for the very first time ever outside of the NUS Campus. The organising committee had chosen the Orchard Rendezvous Hotel for the grand event and matched the venue with an apt theme. This years theme was "Black Tie", and the RVRC residents went out of their way to dress in style in their formal attire. The soft lighting of the venue and the stylish decoration underscored the excitement in the atmosphere, which was contagious.

Master Tick Ngee kick-started the event with a farewell speech to the residents, and moved on to recite a highly emotional and motivational poem that he had penned himself. Following that, a wide spread of food was awaiting the residents. The buffet style menu ranged from highly popular local favourites such as satay and curry ayam to a plethora of desserts. Whilst the residents enjoyed the delicious food, the band performed and sang a wide repertoire of songs. One of the highlights of the evening was a photobooth outside the ballroom, where residents queued to snap images with their friends in their special outfits as special memories of the night. Later in the evening a vote for the best dressed residents was held, before moving on to the final highlight of the night - the lucky draw. Everyone was keen to win, and most were eyeing on the top prize of the night; the Lumos Projector. The evening then ended on a high note, with the official recognition of the outstanding interest groups and interest group members. A huge thank you goes to the organising committee for bringing such a memorable and enjoyable event to RVRC.
