Let’s Talk dialogues invite experts from different industries to share both their life and work experiences with RVRC students, with the objective of helping them to grow and develop beyond the classroom. The semester began with a talk by Mr. Victor Zhu, an RVRC Alumnus who founded Hatch, a social enterprise that helps individuals from underprivileged backgrounds to discover their strengths and gain meaningful careers. Victor passionately shared about the challenges he encountered as an entrepreneur and how his inspirations kept him going.

Mr. Toru Sasaki, General Manager, Global Head of Corporate Sustainability Department from Azbil Corporation, shared insights from an industry perspective; focusing on how Sustainable Development Goals are incorporated within the business model of a “human-centred” automation process. Students also participated in a highly engaging discussion on public discourse with Dr. Adrian Kuah (Director) and his team from the Futures Office, NUS. Sensitive topics like gender, race and inequality were productively discussed, with Dr. Adrian nudging the students to think about how to speak with one another as an inclusive society. Closing off the Let’s Talk series for this semester, Mr. Abe Jacob, Principal Consultant and Chief Futureproofist of FutureProof Global, shared about the 4th Industrial Revolution and how companies innovate and adapt to remain competitive. He also shared about his career journey and guiding principles in life.
